: About

Acuity Marketing Communications, Inc. was created in 1988 to provide digital content development for clients in a wide variety of media, including print, point-of-contact, video and on-line applications.

The company has been identified as one of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's Future 50 firms, identifying it as one of Nashville's fastest-growing privately-held businesses, and has been recognized as one of the Nashville Business Journal's "Largest Web Developers" in middle Tennessee. Its HomeShowAmerica.com website has received the prestigious Silver Award in the National Association of Home Builders' "Nationals" marketing competition.

Acuity's AcuWeb™ suite of online tools allows non-technical personnel to easily manage website content, take online surveys, offer online training to employees or customers, maintain online product information, E-market to contact lists, and generate great looking online brochures, with no technical training, all through a standard web browser.

Acuity Solution:
On-Demand Web Brochures

Acuity Marketing Communications has perfected a method for generating print-quality brochures from dynamically-generated (on demand) online data. "When customers visit one of our client websites and query the database for particular product information, the search results are, as you would expect, displayed through the web browser," explains Rick Dreves, president of Acuity. "What's different is that there is now a button with each result that, when clicked, allows the customer to instantly download a printable PDF (Acrobat) file, built "on the fly" to meet that customer's specific request."

The advantages of this system include significant savings in product brochure layout, printing, and delivery, plus the major advantage of having up-to-the-minute product data, especially pricing, included in the brochure.

"With this system, a client can update pricing and product info on their website through our very user-friendly administrative interface, and if a customer requests a brochure five minutes later, the site database will pull the updated information and generate the brochure without any further involvement on the client's part," notes Michael Parrish, Acuity's Web Operations Specialist.

"This system is incredibly easy for our clients to administer," explains Acuity's Rachael Overall. "No knowlege of web programming is required; the admin interface is extremely easy to master and permits daily--even hourly--updates of data which ensures that time-sensitive product information is always available. Acuity provides complete documentation and training for all of its clients on this system," she added.
