Logging In to the AcuWeb™ Admin Area

In this tutorial, we'll explain how you, as the Event Administrator, or "EA" for your event, can log-in to the Administrative, or "Admin" area of AcuWeb's Contest Management System. The Registration Manager portion of the Contest Management System allows you to set up online registration for your event by creating a customized, web-based series of online forms to collect all the information you'll need from your competition's participants. If you haven't yet done so, we recommend you view the tutorial entitled "Registration Manager Overview" for a good, general orientation to our online event management tools. Note that for simplicity, we will occasionally refer to Registration Manager simply as "R.M."

Typically, for multi-level contests (usually those with district, state, and/or national levels of competition) your Acuity System Administrators will set up a separate "Admin," or Administrative Area, for each participating state or region. Your Acuity Customer Care Representative will provide you with the web address, or "URL," of the appropriate Admin Area for your needs, along with a User Name and Password you can use to log into this Administrative Area.

Ready to begin? First, open your browser, and go to your website by typing its URL into your browser's address bar, followed by a slash, and then the word "admin" -- a-d-m-I-n -- at the end of your Web address.

This will take you to the AcuWeb Contest Management System's Administrative Log-in Screen, the password gateway only authorized administrators of your site may enter. Enter your username and password and click "Sign In". If you've lost your password, note that you can click on the "Lost Yours?" link, enter the username you've been assigned, and your password will be emailed to you, so you can successfully log in.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will see the AcuWeb Welcome Page. From the Jump Menu at the top of this page, select "Registration Manager." This, in turn, will take you to the system's Admin Start Page where you can begin creating and/or editing your competition's online registration information.

Please see our tutorial on the "Admin Start Page," which we recommend you view next, for a detailed explanation of all the Start Page features.
