NHD Online Registration for Contest Judges

1. From the NHD Online Registration welcome page, select the appropriate NHD Contest from the list of available contests.  If you don't see your contest listed, the online registration period may not yet have begun for that particular event, so check back again, once the registration period has opened. If you feel this is an error, contact your local NHD Contest coordinator.

Helpful Tip

If you have participated as a judge before in a previous contest season, you will want to contact your contest coordinator to see if you can use the username and password from that season or if you will need to create a new profile.

2. Choose Judge from the Registrant Type drop-down list, and click the Submit button.
3. Log-in to the system.
   1. If you are participating as a judge for the first time, select the link “Don't have a username and password? Click here to begin...”
   2. If you have previously registered through the NHD Online Registration system during this school year, you will have already created a username and password for yourself. Enter this same username and password on the log-in page to access this new contest. Once you're logged in, you can move on to Step 11.
   
   

Helpful Tip

If you do not remember your log-in information, click the Forgot your login information? link beneath the log-in area and follow the instructions provided to obtain this information. Please do NOT create a new record for yourself if you do not remember your original log-in! Instead, contact your local NHD Contest Coordinator if you are not able to retrieve your log-in information on your own.

4. After logging in, you will be transferred to your Personal Information Page, which requires you to provide the following information about yourself. (Each field required to complete registration has a red asterisk (*) next to it):
   • First Name
   • Last Name
   • Street
   • City
   • State
   • Zip
   • Preferred Email
   • Last Four Digits of Your Home Phone Number
   • Username
   • Password
5. Please note the following fields, which provide an opportunity for you to indicate your judging preferences:




Helpful Tip

If you do not remember your username or your password, try checking your email, as the system sends a registration confirmation with your username and password to the address you provided in the PREFERRED EMAIL ADDRESS field.

6. Once you have completed the required fields, click the “Save...” button at the bottom of the page.
7. Congratulations! You have completed the first part of NHD Online registration. Next, you will be directed to a log-in page where you will be asked to provide your username and password to continue the registration process. Enter the required information and click “Submit...” to proceed.
8. You will now be taken to your Judge Registration Status Page. Please, take time to read the instructions on the page, and study the requested information. Each field required to complete registration has a red asterisk (*) next to it. As you complete each step of registration, a green checkmark will appear to the left of each item, signifying its completion. At this point in the process, “Who Are You [NAME]...” is probably the only item displaying the green completion symbol.
9. If, at any time, you would like to make changes to any of your personal information, such as your preferred eMail address, or your username and password, click on the “Who Are You [NAME]...” link.
10. Depending on the specifics of the NHD Contest you'll be judging, you may be required to complete additional information as part of the Online Registration process. If this is the case, remember to click on any such supplemental links, which will take you to the relevant forms in order to provide this additional information.
11. Once you have completed all of the registration items, please click the “eMail me a confirmation of my registration...” button at the bottom of the status page. By doing so, a summary of your current registration will be sent to your PREFERRED EMAIL ADDRESS.  If you do not receive the summary in a timely manner, be sure to check your Registration Profile, and verify that you correctly entered your preferred eMail address.
12. If you have accrued any fees as part of your online registration, you will need to log into your Judge Registration Status Page and click the green “Ready to Pay? Click to Confirm Registration and Review Fee Summary...” button at the bottom.

1. In Step 1 of the payment process, check the small square boxes to the left of each registration item for which you'll be paying.
2. In Step 2, review the fee summary, and enter your payment information.
3. In Step 3, print out a copy of the confirmation screen (or, you may choose to print the payment confirmation that is emailed to your PREFERRED EMAIL ADDRESS).  This will show a summary of your fees; be sure to mail it in with your check or purchase order.
13. Once the requisite payment(s) have been submitted, your registration is complete!
